Welcome Our New Manager – Jacinta Foley
On the 1 July I accepted the position of Manager at SWARA. I am relatively new to this sector but started working at SWARA in 2015 setting up a Literacy and Numeracy Programs to develop participants’ learning skills in these areas.
I come from an educational background and have taught in both secondary and primary schools both private and public. I’ve dived in at the deep end with this new position and love the challenge and the enthusiasm of all the stakeholders involved with SWARA i.e. the Participants, Volunteers, Board and Staff.
The NDIS process is in full swing and the staff at SWARA are working as a team to transition participants through their plans, interviews and funding arrangements. If anyone is having any difficulties with this process please contact us as soon as possible.
I have already met some of the families, carers and advocates of our participants and look forward to meeting all of you very soon.
There are exciting times ahead, and on the 14 and 15 September SWARA will be represented at the CARE EXPO held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre at South Bank from 8:30AM – 5:30PM. We would love to have your support for this event, entry is free.
