The Passing of Moyia O’Brien

It is with a heavy heart that we advise that Moyia O’Brien passed away in the early hours of Thursday 4th May 2017.  As she would like us to describe it, her soul is liberated. She was in the arms of her niece, Katina, when she left us all.  Both her hands rested in Ranji’s, a practice they have enjoyed together for decades.  Cuddled into the next life.  So appropriate for she who only knew love. She journeys forward now, with a strange and beautiful flower in hand…
(Poem share with permission from Sue Ryder)

What if you slept?
and what if,
in your sleep
you dreamed?

And what if,
in your dream,
you went to heaven
and there plucked
a strange and beautiful flower?

And what if,
when you awoke,
you had the flower
in your hand?
